YouTube Login
YouTube login is required in case you want to access all of its advanced functions. Stuck in the sign-in process or can't log in to Youtube properly? This guide also tries to help you with Youtube login issues.
You only need a Google Account which gives you access to many other important services in addition to YouTube like Gmail, Google Documents and Google Photos.
When is Youtube login required and when is it not?
You can access the basic features of YouTube without logging in. These are:
- Watching videos (with ads)
- Browsing recommended and related videos
- Sharing videos
- Reading comments
- Searching for videos on Youtube
You can only access the advanced features of YouTube by signing in. These are:
- Watching videos (ad free) with a Youtube Premium subscription
- Writing comments for videos
- Uploading your own videos
- Subscribing to Youtube channels
- Saving favourites
- Rating videos
- Accessing the browsing history
YouTube login from mobile
You can use the YouTube service on many devices, including iPhone, iPad, Android, and even your smart TV. To install the latest version, you can visit your phone's app store (e.g. iTunes App Store or Google Play Store).
- Install the YouTube app if it is not already installed on your mobile device.
- Open the YouTube application
- Tap your Profile icon
- Click on „Add account”
- Enter your email address and click „Next”
- Enter your password and click „Next”
You can also access YouTube simply by using a mobile browser.
YouTube login from a browser
- Go to www.youtube.com and click on the "SIGN IN" button
(If you don’t have a Google Account yet, click „Create an account” below) - Enter your email address (or phone number) and click „Next”
- Email: You can log in with a default „@gmail.com” email address and also with a custom address
- Phone number: If you have a mobile number confirmed on your account, you can enter it here
- Enter your password and click „Next”.
Login from a guest computer (Incognito mode)
If you want to use a device for logging in to YouTube that you does not own, it is worth to act carefully.
You can use the browser by leaving the current Google account signed in, and after you finish your work with YouTube, it will automatically delete your temporary login information from the device.
- Open a web browser
- Turn ON "Incognito mode"
- Go to www.youtube.com
- Sign in with your Google account
- After browsing, just close the browser
Problems signing in to YouTube
If you can't sign in to YouTube with your Google Account, you need to fix the problem in the YouTube Help. Follow their instructions for help getting back in to your account.
The most common problems are:

- You know your username and password, but you can't sign in.
- You think someone else is using your account.
