Facebook Login
Facebook login is required in case you want to access all of its social functions. Stuck in the sign-in process or can't log in to FB properly? This guide also tries to help you with Facebook login issues.
Facebook login from a browser
You can use a web browser to sign in to Facebook on devices that do not have a dedicated Facebook application: PC, laptop, console (Xbox, Playstation, etc) and Smart TV...
- Go to www.facebook.com.
- Enter your email address OR phone number OR username
- Email: You can log in with any email address that's listed on your Facebook account.
- Phone number: If you have a mobile number confirmed on your account, you can enter it here (don't add any zeros before the country code, or any symbols).
- Username: You can also log in with your username, if you set one up.
- Enter your password and click „Log in”.
Facebook login from a smartphone
You can use Facebook to stay connected on many devices, including iPhone, iPad and Android. To see what's new with the app and install the latest version, you can visit your phone's app store (e.g. iTunes App Store or Google Play Store).
- Install the Facebook app if it is not already installed on your mobile device.
- Open the Facebook application
- Enter your email address OR phone number OR username
- Enter your password
- Click „Log in”
You can also access Facebook simply by using a mobile browser.
Log in to FB using the Facebook Lite app on Android
Facebook Lite is a lightweight app that has the main Facebook features but uses less data. It works well on all networks, including 2G. To download the app, visit the Google Play Store.

Facebook login with multiple accounts (simultaneously)
When a family uses the same device at home and several family members use the social network, it may be necessary for them to be logged into Facebook at the same time. They don't want to log in and out every time they look at their own news feed or messages for a moment.
- Open a web browser
- Go to www.facebook.com
- Sign in with your Facebook account
- Choose/Intall a different web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, etc.)
- Open the new web browser
- Go to www.facebook.com
- A family member can sign in with another FB account
Note: The Facebook app does not support multiple active logins at the same time.
Guest Facebook login (Incognito mode)
If you want to use a device for logging in to Facebook that you does not own, it is worth to act carefully.
You can use the browser by leaving the current account signed in, and after you finish browsing Facebook, it will automatically delete your temporary login information.
- Open a web browser
- Turn ON "Incognito mode"
- Go to www.facebook.com
- Sign in with your Facebook account
- After browsing, just close the browser
Common FB Login errors
Mistype
You may have entered your login information incorrectly.
First, check the state of the CAPS LOCK key on the keyboard. If it is ON, all letters you type will be in uppercase.
Make sure that you enter your entire mobile phone number, including the country code. Leave out any extra zeros, plus signs (+) or other special characters.
Forgotten password
If you forgot your password, don’t worry. Follow these steps to reset:
- Tap "Forgot your password?" on the Facebook login page.
- Enter your email address OR mobile number registered in your account and tap "Search"
- Choose a Recovery Option
- Email: an email will be sent to your email address. You have to click on the password reset link.
- Phone number: you will receive a verification code via SMS that you have to enter OR you have to answer some security questions.
- Finally, you must enter your new password.
Additional error possibilities when logging in to Facebook
General Error
Sometimes we encounter a strange error, receive an uncommon error message, or experience unexpected behavior on the device during the sign-in process. In this case we can try to force close our browser / application, restart the FB page / app, clear the cookies / cache and try to login to Facebook again.
Suspended account
If you receive a notification that your account has been suspended when you log in, you may be violating Facebook's Terms of Service.
To be able to log in to Facebook, you need to fix the problem in the FB Help Center.
Hacked account / Unauthorized access
If you think your account has been hacked or taken over, you should visit the Facebook Help Center to secure your account. The help page will ask you to change your password and review recent Facebook login activity.
Other possible technical problems during a Facebook login
- Server down
Facebook servers / infrastructure is down or encountering technical issues.
Give the FB technicians a few minutes or hours to resolve the issue. You can try logging in later. - Flight mode ON
You might have forgotten to turn OFF flight mode / Or you accidentally turned ON flight mode - No internet connection
Check your internet connection and network devices. You may not be able to access not only Facebook, but also other Internet services at the moment.
